A Message From Our Interim General Manager

Julie Premo

Kia ora team and valued clients,

April is shaping up to be one of our most exciting months yet. Coming off our first annual company-wide strategic meetings and with the small ruminant breeding season drawing to a close, there is a real sense of energy and momentum across the RSG New Zealand team.

There is a lot to look forward to — new client partnerships forming, strong results continuing to come out of our IVF laboratory, and our teams actively out on-farm supporting producers across New Zealand. The feedback we receive from clients is genuinely encouraging, and it is a true reflection of the dedication and passion every person on our team brings to their work.

As we move into the autumn and winter months, I encourage all clients to get in touch with our Client Services Coordinator, Amelia, early to secure your TVR, ET, MOET, bull collection, and donor programmes. These slots fill quickly, and early planning is the best way to ensure your breeding programme gets the attention and results it deserves.

Thank you for your continued trust and partnership with RSG New Zealand — we look forward to a strong season ahead.

Julie Premo | Interim General Manager, RSG New Zealand

Client Highlights

Take a look at how RSG New Zealand is helping producers achieve real results in both dairy and beef operations, while building strong partnerships across the industry.

DAIRY GENETICS PROGRAMME

  • A Waikato dairy operation recently completed their second round of IVF with RSG New Zealand, achieving pregnancy rates exceeding 70% using fresh RSG embryos. The producer is now expanding their elite donor programme for the 2026 spring season.

BEEF PRODUCER SPOTLIGHT

  • A South Waikato beef operation worked with our veterinary team to implement a targeted genetic improvement strategy using direct-transfer frozen embryos, seeing strong early scanning results across their herd this autumn.

NATHAN BANE – ONGOING PARTNERSHIP

  • Dairy producer Nathan Bayne continues to be a strong partner of RSG New Zealand, working closely with our team on his breeding programme. Nathan’s farm was one of the host visits during Dr. Thompson’s recent tour of the region.

  • Client Service Excellence: A renewed commitment to proactive, personalised client communication was reinforced as a cornerstone of RSG NZ’s approach heading into Year Two.
  • Expanding Reproductive Technologies: Plans were outlined to further broaden access to advanced IVF and embryo transfer services for producers across New Zealand.
  • Team Growth & Culture: With several new team members onboarded in recent months, the meeting celebrated the growing RSG NZ family and the culture of collaboration being built.
