A Message From Our Interim General Manager

Julie with cows

Dear Valued Clients,

May has brought a strong close to what proved to be an exceptionally busy small ruminant breeding season. Our calendar was full from start to finish, and we are pleased to report that the success rates across procedures were excellent — a result that reflects both the quality of the animals we worked with and the skill and dedication of our technical teams in the field and in the laboratory.

A sincere thank you to every client who entrusted us with their breeding programmes this season. The volume and complexity of work we navigated together is a testament to the partnerships we have built across New Zealand and Globally, and the outcomes speak for themselves.

Looking ahead, now is also the ideal time to begin planning your spring bovine breeding programmes. Please contact our Client Services Coordinator, Amelia, to lock in your TVR, ET, MOET, bull collection, and donor programme slots. Early booking remains the best way to secure the timing and resources your operation needs.

Thank you again for your continued trust and partnership with RSG New Zealand. We are proud of what this team has delivered, and we look ahead to the months to come with the same commitment to results.

Youth Auction Donation Comes Full Circle for RSG NZ and Mossy Ayrshires

NZ Dairy Cow

The team at RSG NZ is proud to support the future of the dairy industry through youth programs and hands-on genetic advancement opportunities. One recent example came through the Jersey youth auction, where RSG NZ donated a TVR/IVF voucher that was purchased by Mossy Ayrshires.

The purchase not only supported the youth auction initiative but also highlighted the growing confidence producers are placing in advanced reproductive technologies and the results being achieved with the RSG NZ team.

Mossy Ayrshires recently shared their experience working with RSG NZ on facebook following multiple on-farm programs:

“We are excited to have purchased the TVR/IVF voucher RSG NZ kindly donated to the Jersey youth auction last night.

We have used RSG for our last 2 lots of TVR/IVF flushing on farm which resulted in 60 embryos from 4 donors. We also used them to put 40 embryos in during mating and had a 64% hold rate which is amazing.

We are looking forward to having them come back once again so we can redeem our voucher but now we need to think of mating ideas for our herd favorite Pukekaraka Distinct Memo EX9-9.

Anyone looking at doing some flushing we definitely recommend giving the team at RSG a call.

Results like these continue to showcase the value of combining elite genetics with experienced veterinary support and customized reproductive planning.

The entire RSG NZ team appreciates the support from Mossy Ayrshires and looks forward to helping continue the genetic progress of standout donors like Pukekaraka Distinct Memo EX9-9.

RSG NZ Mobile Lab Featured at

Land at Lawwal Sale

NZ Mobile Unit

The team from RSG was proud to be on the ground at the recent Land at Lawwal Sale on April 23, connecting with producers and showcasing the capabilities of the new RSG NZ Mobile Lab alongside Lawwal Holsteins.

Visitors had the opportunity to stop by, meet members of the RSG veterinary team, and get a firsthand look at advanced reproductive technologies used in modern livestock breeding programs. Throughout the event, attendees could view the mobile lab and learn more about the services and support RSG NZ provides to progressive cattle producers across New Zealand.

The mobile lab represents RSG NZ’s commitment to bringing advanced reproductive services directly to breeders in the field, while continuing to build strong relationships within the dairy and livestock industries.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit with the team at Land at Lawwal. We‘re honored to be part of this event and look forward to supporting New Zealand producers with innovative reproductive solutions and hands-on service.
